London city mission

Dear all,

Many of you will be aware of London City Mission, indeed some members in
your respective churches may well be supporters of their work. We are
delighted to have Steve Dunn, from LCM, coming to Stanley Road Baptist
Church on Friday, October 4 to share about his work and that of LCM.

We will start with refreshments at 10am with the main meeting starting at
10.30am. All are welcome. This is part of a tour of North Lancashire but
this is the only event to be held in Morecambe. Please publicise among your
members if you feel appropriate.

Thank you,

Steven

Friday 25th January is the RNLI annual SOS fundraising day.

From 1.30pm on the 25th, Morecambe Parish Church is hosting an open workshop / performance of Gilbert & Sullivan's "The Pirates of Penzance", featuring - as pirates and policemen - children from Glasson Dock, Abbeystead and Hornby Primary Schools, and several well-known local soloists - Ian Entwistle, David McCormack, Argo Ashton, Avril Haydock , Richard Prescott and Emily Schofield. Andy Plowman will provide "the orchestra" and at the helm ... Rachael Lee.

There is no charge, but programmes will be available at £2 each and there will be a retiring collection.
